London Blitz Flag Football

 

London Blitz Flag Football develops young people through sport, combining high-quality coaching with strong values, positive role models, and a genuine sense of community.

​

Joining London Blitz means becoming part of one of the UK’s most successful American football clubs. Our affiliated U19 contact team are multiple-time BritBowl champions, and our youth flag teams consistently perform at the highest level nationally. Our U17 flag teams are former champions and regular finalists, while our younger age groups continue to set the standard across the country.

​

Recent success includes an outstanding 2021 season, where our U11s went undefeated and won all of their bowls, and our U14s finished the regular season unbeaten as the top team in the UK. In 2023, our U11 programme won two out of five regional tournament championships. Across all age groups, London Blitz teams regularly qualify for and compete at national finals.

​

We currently field teams across three age groups, welcoming players from age 7 upwards. Many athletes developed within the Blitz pathway have gone on to represent Great Britain and compete across Europe, the United States, and beyond.

Based at Finsbury Park Stadium in the heart of North London, London Blitz has been a leading force in British American Football since 1984.

Our programme is built on the principle that coaches are teachers and role models. We welcome young people who are ready to commit to their team, their development, and the values of the club.

Flag football is a fast-paced, non-contact version of American football that focuses on speed, skill, teamwork, and decision-making — making it ideal for young players.

 

Our aim is simple: to develop confident, respectful, and skilled players while keeping the game fun.
